Mercer Mayer Monday

We arrived a few minutes early to school one day last week.  A little voice from the backseat pleaded, “Mom can we wait just one more minute?  I have just three more pages.”

Kindergarten Kiddo LOVES Mercer Mayer’s Little Critter books.  The main character, Little Critter, gets himself into lots of typical little-kid situations that are just naughty enough to delight young readers, but are never mean-spirited.  The real humor in the stories lies in the fact that Little Critter is oblivious to why the adults are not always pleased by his well-intentioned antics.

Note the look on the proprietor's face as Little Critter carries his seed selections over to his Mom.  As usual, Mom smoothes things over:
